I'm a nursing student taking basics right now, which includes a research writing class. I'm doing my research paper on the changes that have taken place in type 1 diabetes treatment through the years, and I'm looking for some personal perspectives. If you would be willing to contribute some information about how you used to treat your diabetes versus how you do now, changes you have seen in treatment and management through the years, etc. I would greatly appreciate it as I have had some trouble with my research in this area. I've got a lot of timelines, but those just touch on achievements in the field; I'd really like to know what everyday life was like. Thank you!! Also, if you would be willing to PM me your first and last name so I can cite you in my paper. Thanks!
There is a wonderful gentleman who blogs and visits here - he has had T1 for over 60 years and provides wonderful insight on things like sharpening the needles, and testing urine and stuff.... http://www.diabetesdaily.com/forum/blogs/richard157/
