It doesn't necessarily have to be your lowest low either.
My worst low was about a year ago, I guess it was. I had gotten up on a Saturday morning to watch my niece and nephew at about 6:30, like they always get up. I ate breakfast and took what I needed to take (I think I was still on pills at that point, I can't quite remember). Anyways my dad woke up at 8;30 and said to go back to sleep, that he'd watch the kids. (we all live together, there are 9 of us). So I go back to sleep and the next thing I know my mom is waking me up, saying it is 1:45. Huh? I get up, very slowly. My head is all fuzzy and I feel light headed and disoriented. So I decide to check my bg's. I'm 47. So at that point I'm not thinking too clearly. I'm throwing cookies, milk and coke into my mouth. I felt like I was going to throw up. About a half an hour later I was 197. I had the worst headache that I have ever had in my life. I had to go to my friends birthday dinner later on that day and I felt horrible. I had to just lay there for a while, but eventually I felt fine.
So, what was your worst low like?

Hm. I'd be hard pressed to choose, actually. I had a 29 a couple of months ago at 1AM. It was terrifying, because I was half asleep, and I couldn't stand. I had to crawl across the floor to get juice. I was drenched with sweat and it was awful. Plus I had been around 300 2 hours ago when I went to sleep. It took some treatment, but I stayed conscious and came up.

One of my very worst was quite a long time ago. I was still on MDI, and 30 minutes after lunch (I was 180 before hand) I was 46. My teacher found me sobbing in the corridor. I can't remember it. I was incoherant. Again, I stayed conscious, but it was very, very scary. I hate lows in general.

My lowest low was a 21, and that happened recently after dx, while I was jumping on a trampoline, however, I didn't really react to it, which was weird.
But my worst low was probably last year during lunch. I was sitting at school, deciding which line to go in, and I chekced my bg, and it was 67. So, not awefully low, but I needed to make my mind up fairly quickly. :) Just as I was about to stand up, I got really dizzy. So I just sat there for a few seconds, and then I realized that the people across from me had two sets of features. Double vision! At this point, I knew that I was dropping quickly, so I tried to say something to the person next to me, but I was having a hard time communicating. I managed to squeak out the phrase "need food....". I don't think people realized the severity of the situation, (probably because I had a hard time telling them what was happening) so they gave me a rice krispy treat and went on talking. A few minutes went by and I thought I was feeling better, so I walked back to class with everyone. Then, five minutes into the lesson, I realized I wasn't coming back up, and the double vision was coming back. So, not being in my right mind, I told the teacher I needed to go to the nurse, and didn't ask for an escort. And she, obviously not having read the packet I gave her, let me go without one. I staggered out of the class, sweating and pale, and luckily, one of my friends saw me, and he insisted on walking me to the nurse (thankfully, becuase I don't think I would have made it there otherwise). After several juice boxes and packages of crakcers, I surrvived my first and only low accompanied by double vision. Scariest low ever.

    My Low

I don't remember when but I was fairly new to diabetes and I had a low of 27! i was covered in sweat but what surprised me was that it happened so fast. Just a couple of minutes earlier i was perfectly fine. Then of course I treated it. I drank apple juice, ate a yogurt and a granola bar. Lows make you feel crummy. :(

    Lowest low- 26 mg/dL and 28 mg/dL (didn't feel either)
Worst low- It was a few months ago, in school. I remember I had woken up high that morning, something like 350. So I corrected and ate a granola bar, and covered that. Then I proceeded to drive to school (yeah, I know I shouldn't have driven that high, but I have driven higher, heck, I took my road test at 480 :eek:) I had taken the long way to school that morning, and on the way there, I remember feeling like I was driving really slowly, but I was actually going about 5 miles over the speed limit, yet I still felt as if I was driving like an old fart! By the time I got to school, I felt a little weird, but okay, ya know. I thought it was just because I was still kind of high. But as soon as the bell rang for first period, I felt awful, so I went to the nurse and kind of just stood there because she was busy...my friend who also has diabetes was there, and she told me I didn't look good, and went and got me some juice from our fridge in the next room in the nurses office. I tested and I was 50. So within an hour, I dropped 300+ points. The juice didn't make me feel any better, and after 15 minutes, I went down to 39. I finally got myself back up after about an hour, but it was definately my most scary low. I think it was scary for me beacsue I was so high an hour earlier, but whatever the case, it freaked me out, and it definately wasn't fun. I didn't tell mom about this one until a few days after.

Now I always pull over if I feel weird. I'm thankful I will be on a cgm soon, so now I can keep the reciever next to me while I drive.

compared to some people on here's lowest lows, mine is nothing! it was 39. i didn't feel too awful though.
i've had three myoclonic seizures where i'm shaking all over and i can't control myself and go unconscious for a few minutes. that happens when my blood sugar drops too quickly...i remember the second time it happened i had been 120-something, so not low, but it dropped fast. the first time i was playing soccer and i felt a little weird, but i ignored it...bad idea. so when i came inside i had a juice and that's all...but then i felt really bad and sat with my mom. and then yeah...i had to go to the er but i was fine afterwards. coincidentally, in the ambulance they turned on the radio for me and that "bad day" song was on, haha. the second time i was at a weekend diabetes camp while we were eating dinner...which was weird, that i dropped fast and my sugar was 120-something, but yeah. i had been unconcious-ish for a minute or so because the last thing i remembered was everything going blurry and then the next thing i know two counselors were walking me to the clinic. that was freaky though. i didn't have to go to the er though and i got girl scout cookies that night so that i wouldn't go low. :cwds: then the last time it happened was at home again and i had to have that red shot thing, i forget what it's called. but my parents called 911 again and the only reason i went to the er was because my blood pressure was high.

My lowest low would be low the lowest one that registered was a 27.
This was about 2 weeks ago:

It happened when I was in health class making a poster. While making the poster I felt like I wanted to cry but I kinda just shrugged it off. Well I finished, fumbled around for my meter in my bag and got the tester out. First strip was not enough sample, 2nd strip. 5...4...3...2...1...35!!! OMG. I got up from my desk went to turn in my poster, walk over to the teacher and said I really need to go to the health room. She said go ahead take your stuff, well I did a terrible job at gathering my stuff, but I eventually got it. I thought I think I am not going to make it, stairs and then a bit a hallway there was no way. But figured the bell was going to ring shortly if I pass out someone will find me. Well I made it up the stairs, felt terrible, walked the small stretch. Got to the nurse's office picked the chair right next to the door and just plopped my stuff all over the place. I tested 5...4...3...2...1...35!! But I just couldn't move. Ms. K was signing a kid out after she was done she looked down at my meter, not to mention I was fading in and out of consciouness. Well I was really out of it so she started to repeat my name over and over. I barely opened my eyes to let them know I was still here. The first thing out of Ms. K's mouth was, "Juice!" When she was running to get the juice she knocked on Nurse P's office door, said "Caitlin's 35." Ms. K got the juice handed it to me, Nurse P and this other nurse came out of the office. The other nurse said to drink, I just could not raise the bottle. Ms. K was given the order to call my mom, so she was doing that. Nurse P had run to get a straw. So I was being forced fed OJ through a straw, then they added sugar.Which tasted horrible, which I voiced multiple times. After 10 minutes BG 44. Okay come up bit by bit. More OJ through a straw, they didn't trust me holding the cup, so I had to keep sipping through a straw. Well then I heard that my mom was coming to pick me up. That made me mad I said I was fine, that I could run if I wanted to. Then they were freaking out because they seriously thought I was going to run. They wouldn't let me walk around the room by myself, they said that I might fall. So basically I had 3 nurses working on me just to get my blood sugar up. Well Nurse P calls me into her office so she can keep an eye on me. She talked to me about how I could have passed out, that she was getting ready to use the glucagon if my blood sugar would have dropped even more. Then I said I was fine, I just need to go to class and take a nap. So she put her foot on top of mine to make sure I wasn't going anywhere. Well I go home. Next day I come in talk to Nurse P she said that 35 that I pulled out was in front of her supervisor who was freaking out yesterday. And that when I was low she was tracking me for a sudden personality change. Cause she had this one girl that between 5 minutes she kept changing chairs, and her personalilty kept changing. I said I was fine, and that I just need to adjust a few things. And left after assuring her I was okay.

The scary thing about that low is that I didn't even think about asking a friend to walk up with me, which I normally do. That there was a new symptom that I never thought to connect with a low. And that I have never been that out of it, I really wasn't thinking clearly when I thought if I pass out the bell it going to ring in a couple of minutes.:( And that I literally could not say anything once I hit the nurse's office, all I could do it sit there.

Last august. I was 300 right before bed, so I corrected and I went to bed straight away (i know i shouldn't have). I guess I over corrected and that sent me down to 21.
I was sleeping, and I remember being covered in sweat even though the airconditioner was on. At first what I thought it was was a dream, only to find out that it was real; I was laying face up on my back on my mattress, which was on the floor at the time, I couldn't move my legs or arms at all. I screamed my head off trying to get someone to help (at the point I still thought i was dreaming) but being upstairs and it being 6 in the morning on a saturday, no one heard me. Then the adrenaline of being so freaked out must have gotten to me and I realized that I wasn't dreaming, and started screaming again. Again, no one heard me. At this point I knew that i needed to get downstairs somehow, so i managed to move my right arm to grab hold of a chair on the floor, and drag the rest of my body to the stairs. At the top of the stairs, I rolled down ( not the greatest idea i know) and hit the door smashing it open. My mom heard the door smash open and came running out, she knew i was low so she tried to get me up and to the couch but i still didn't have use of my legs at all (she wasn't understanding that i was that low). So she got my meter and we tested to find that I was 21, I got some sugar and my number started coming up straight away. I then had to go to school orientation 45 minutes later.
Honest to God, it felt like it was hours that I was up there screaming. Now i keep some glucose right by my bed, and my cell phone in my pillow case.

OR there was last summer as well I went out to my barn to ride (it's a 45minute drive) and I was feeling pretty good. I had a lesson so I got my horse together, and went to the arena. It was bloody hot out and I was wearing black (good on my part, right?). I started feeling really weird during the lesson, but then i just thought that I was really hot and exhausted. My coach noticed that I was stuffing up some of my aids, like she would say left leg right rein, and I would do right leg right rein, so she stopped me and asked if I was alright. I said I was (only to soon realize I wasn't) and kept on with the lesson. After falling at a 3'6" fence, I got back on (lol i'm smart) and then we finished up the lesson. When i dismounted my legs buckled and I fell, so I had my coaches boyfriend carry me to my car to get my meter and I was 35.

My lowest low was 47. I had a scary one on Chrismas eve. It was at 2:00 AM and I was watching a christmas movie with my sister, trying to fall asleep. I had just bolused for like 50 carbs worth of candy and I tested. I was 67 with 4 units on board ! Needless to say, I was drinking apple juice like no other, until I spiked to 200 when the M&M's hit.

Freakiest that I remember: I was 85 and about to go shopping so I decided to do a 50% basal. I figured it would take me maybe 30 mins to shop and I'ld be fine without my meter or tabs. After 15mins I started feeling shaky, but I was almost done so I kept shopping. Then my eyes started twitching- its hard to describe, they were like shifting from left to right constantly. Then I get that feeling-head is floating, can barely stand, and if i don't eat fast I'm gonna pass out- I could barely see anything let alone walk straight. I was getting freaked out cuz I was shopping alone so I start freaking out. So I grabbed the stuff on my list and checked out. Got to my car tested... 65 <<really!? I feel alot lower... like 20's kind of low>> so I ate like 30gms of sugary stuff. 12mins later... 51 <<I must be dropping fast>> I proceeded to shove more sugary stuff in my mouth because I'm scared out of my mind! 15mins...91 better. It took another 5-10mins for my eyes to stop "twitching" I knew I would probably be sky high later, then I headed home. Amazingly I only shot to 215.

Last week I had a scary low but it didnt scare me till after the fact. Whenever I'm having bg issues my mom will test me if she wakes up (crazy mom sense). At 5 am she tests me 38, all I heard was the number but I wasnt really with it. I remember drinking juice but nothing else. I was so lucky that my mom got up and checked me. What could've happened scares me.

    o.o

Errm, my worst would be 16.2. I was 3 or 4 when that happened though so I don't remember it.
I can't remember any bloodsugars that have been bad, but once I remember waking up and did my bg. I was 48 and felt fine, but got Mum out of bed anyway. It was about 6 in the morning. =P
I actually remember walking down the hallway but that's it. The scary thing is that apparently I stayed conscious as I walked into the living room and I sat down. So I blacked out unconciously but my body kept functioning. o.o
I woke up in the hospital where I had gone up to 248 and the doctor (who was thick) was ordering my parents to do a correction, thankfully, they didn't.

I hate lows. I get them a lot because I'm fairly active. I usually try to eat a little extra before I exercise but it still ends up dropping. Today I got 2 lows. First one I was wrestling around with my dad and it was 49.:(About an 1 later I went to play kickball with my younger brother and when I came back in it was 42.:mad:I ate cotton candy before I played. I don't know why it drops that low. I didn't really run around that much. I think my worst low was at school. I don't like pulling my meter out in class so I wait until break. Before P.E I felt horrible and I checked it and it was 39. I had like 2 minutes to eat.
