What are the BGL units of measure outside Australia?

    Hi. I'm a newbie. Looking for information on how BGL is measured in USA. I keep seeing reference to numbers in the range 50 - 400. What is the conversion for us in Australia? i.e. less than 4.0 = low / 4.0 - 8.0 = normal / over 8.0 = high / over 15.0 = uh oh & test for ketones. Thank you in advance.

    Blood sugar is measured two ways: mg/dl or mmol/l. The US uses mg/dl which accounts for the larger number. The rest of the world uses mmol/l. This site helps in the conversion http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com/bs_conv.htm. To convert from your measurement, multiple your number by 18.
