I'm sorry your family got this news. It just sucks. Hope you find some peace soon.
I am so sorry.
I'm so sorry! Praying for you all!
Very sorry about the dx.
I'm so sorry for the diagnosis......
My heart is broken for you guys, I'm so sorry. I really can't imagine, but I'm glad her sister is there for her, that has to help.
My heart sunk when I read the subject line and saw the OP?s name. I almost feel like there are more identical twins on this board where only one twin is D, than there are sets of identical that are both D.
@Mimi I think you did the right thing by having C enrolled in trial net. I hope that she will be on just lantus for like at least 5 or 6 years, and that better basal insulins and treatments will emerge in that time frame.
I am currently using lantus and blousing through the pump. I can honestly say that right now I am finding that lantus burns like an SOB.
Maybe bc she is going through a slow onset she could get away with just one shot of levemir a day.
I don?t think I am a wuss. I insert silhouettes manually and don't bat an eye, but the lantus has been killer painful lately. I find Injecting it through the pen is way more painful, and the burning can last for like 2 minutes. I have been taking 50 units though
I am so sorry. I can;t begin to imagine the emotions you and your family must be feeling.
That is so unfair!!! It's all so unfair. I'm so so sorry your family is dealing with this. I know you are heartbroken.
I am so very sorry to hear this There are some awesome members on the boards and on FB who have 2 or more kids with d, I know they will be a great source of support for you
So sorry your other DD was diagnosed!
Just saw this, I'm so sorry Mimi. Sending thoughts for the best your way, I hope the girls will be a great support for each other at this time. (((((hugs)))))
