19 months in and I've been wondering this the entire time. When you weight a banana to figure out carbs from the carb factor is that with or without the peel?

    Without the peel.
A while I back I weighed one banana with and without the peel, and then figured what portion of the weight when it was with the peel was the peel, and used that for other bananas, but I haven't done it in a while and I don't remember what the numbers were.

We always do it without the peel and use carb factor .21

The Calorie King book specifically says "weight with the peel" for their calculations.

I tried this many years ago and there was no standard. The peel has a different weight depending on how ripe it is, so one banana to the next never gave me a good carb factor.

we always figure - if I'm not eating the peel, why weigh it. We use .22
