We use Tincture of Benzoin to keep Seth's pods on during activity. It works GREAT but it's a spray so there is residual around the pod. I know about skin tac removal. But is there anything simple that I could pick up at the drug store to take of the access? Maybe with a cotton ball?

Goo Gone. Also I used to work at a store in high school and we just used Spray and Wash to remove the sticky the price stickers left before we'd gift wrap stuff. I haven't tried it on a person though.

Is Goo Gone the hand soap? Will it work on a cotton ball just for the access right after he puts the new pod on? I don't want to have to wash it off kwim?

    We use De-Solv-it.

You can get it at a hardware store (I think we bought it at Ace or True Value). Super cheap, works great and it says that it is safe for the skin.

When I was in California recently I saw a bottle of Detachol at the pharmacy. Since our insurance has decided uni-solve isn't necessary I bought the bottle. I love it!

Goo Gone is a citrus scented liquid. Can certainly be used on a cotton ball. wash THOROUGHLY after. not really meant to be used as a skin cleaner, but should get the goo.....gone :)

It looks like a spray, do you think it would take off the pod we just put on? I'm looking for something to take off the extra spray from the Tincture of Benzoin:confused:

It looks like you can remove the pump spray from the bottle.

Yes, that's what I do because it just takes a few drops. But I only use it to remove old sites so I'm not all that careful. But a Q-tip would probably give you pretty good control over where the remover is going.

Ditto on De-Solve-It. Organic, safe for skin, works great, super cheap.

If he know where he is going to place the pod do you think that you could cut a "pod shaped hole" in a thin piece of cardboard or something similar and use that over his skin so that the spay does not get everywhere else?

Otherwise may be change to the Liquid kind of adhesive and be able to be more careful with placment of it.

We use skin tac wipes and then "REMOVE" after the site removed to get off the excess, but I would not use the remover around a newly placed site.

We use something called TacAway Remover Wipes. I use them to get the extra adhesive residue that is left from the extra tape after we remove his cgms. You definitely wouldn't have to worry about it bleeding into the pod site and aftecting it's adhesiveness.

Skin So Soft, by Avon is wonderful as well. Not only conditions the skin after showers, but is a great adhesive remover on any surface.
