We're excited today but at the same time nervous BC we don't know what to expect. I'm mainly worried about how Nevaeh will feel about inserting the CGM. Sheer does great with yet pump insertion but the needler on the CGM looks huge! Any advice? We're planning on using emla. Where's the best spot for it the first time?

We use the back of Emma's arm, mainly because she won't let us use her tummy yet, and we use her backside for her infusion sites. The EMLA (magic cream as we call it) works very well, but I'd suggest getting used to the "pop" of the inserter before you go live with the needle. It is big and can be a little scary.

The MySentry has changed our lives. It's really awesome.

We've used upper bottom for sensors since day one. Make sure to leave the EMLA on for at least an hour beforehand.

Good luck! :). We love ours.

I would recommend using (and keeping) one sensor for practice. It can be a little tricky to take the needle out after the sensor is inserted. I always liked to practice a few times on a pillow so that when I did it on my son I could be really quick and smooth. Good luck.

That's an excellent idea!! The CGM is in our future somewhere...when, still unclear...and I always feel nervous (already:eek:) when I think about those first few times I put the sensor on him. I will definitely try this...I'm sure it will be a great help!:):) Thanks!!!!

We're anticipating the Enlite release around here. The reports that it's painless and doesn't leave a mark sound wonderful. Although I wonder how much the price increase will be....
