We have just been to Sam's end of year school prizegiving.

It is his first yr of exams (2 yrs to go) and he has already passed his Level One certificate before even sitting the external exams! Any credits he earns in the external exams now go towards his level 2 certificate next yr.

But.... he topped his year in Food technology and got 2nd in German plus 100% attendance!

Yep, we are proud. Considering he started high school with bad bad bad test results (they thought he may have been dyslexic), he has got an award each year for the past 3 at high school.

Now he wants to be a food scientist or something in the physics field! Goes to show what hard work can achieve!:)

I would brag as well. I know that your school system is done way different than ours so I do not understand everything but it sounds like he doing a great job.

Great going Sam! Don't be sorry to brag Debs!
My boy is also in Yr 11 and he has to pass exams to pass NCEA Lvl 1 :(

I drove to Palmerston North on Tuesday and as I passed Ohakea I thought of you.

Met Di for coffee, and hopefully next time both you and Stacie can join us too :cwds:

    Way to go, Sam!!

If parents can't brag about their kids, what's the point really?:D

    Love the 100% attendance too.

I am the meanest mum around. Unless my kids are dying or the school is on fire, there is no excuse for them not to attend!
Plus they know the consequences if they bunk off. Yep, they are s*it scared of us! (Must be the military discipline coming out!);)
