My son is 6 (diagnosed 6 months ago). He LOVES to swim. Today...he actually got OUT OF THE POOL to tell me he thought he might be going low. He was at 72. I'm so proud of him for getting out of the pool! I've tried to stress how important it was to get out if he felt low, but I didn't think he would actually do it. It's the little things that make us so proud of our children!
Isn't that wonderful! It is SUCH a relief when they start to recognize their low symptoms...you finally have that early warning system and can breath a bit easier! And that they are responsible enough to know that they need to stop even things that they love to do in order to test and take care of themselves...it does make you very proud! Congrats to BOTH of you!
