So my dd got kicked in the knee Tuesday evening at soccer practice. It swelled up instantly and caused her a great deal of pain so off to the Sports Medicine doctor we went yesterday. The performed an x-ray. The x-ray did not show any damage to the bones in her knee, but it did show a tumor in her lower leg bone. He thinks it is benign, but has scheduled a MRI for today to check the knee injury plus the tumor.

I have not told my dd about the tumor yet, due to the fact that her sugars have been sky high due to the pain from the injury. So I am waiting to get the diagnosis first.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Yikes!! Hopefully it's nothing too serious. A friend of mine just had a tumor removed from her hip recently, and she had been fearing the worst the entire time because of the size of the tumor and how quickly it had grown, but pathology proved it to be benign (biopsying it prior to removal wasn't realistic since it had to come out anyways - it was compromising the joint).

Whoa! While no one wants a tumor, it's good that it was caught...here's praying that it is nothing serious.

Good thing she had an xray for the injury. At least they can work up what is going on. Good luck.

Sorry that you have to worry until you get the results.

Very glad that the soccer injury required an x-ray. I see it as one of those, "All things work together for good..." moments.

    Praying.
