just wanted to say i'm sorry this is happening to you and your dh.
I should probably know this, but what I am looking for on the pre-post meal numbers that differintiates the types? This AM he was 137 pre-meal. We'll check in a couple of hours or post-meal numbers. Just not sure what I'm looking for!
Looking at blood sugar alone won't tell you what type he is because if he's a type 1 he still could be making his own insulin for a while so he could be fine fasting and then spike after meals or he could be high fasting and fine after meals. It all depends on which insulin is going in him first - basal production or bolus production. But just keep a record and see what is happening....that's the important thing.
