Ok, one of my to do's this summer is to read about insulin pumps. I am hoping DS makes it through the summer on MDI before puberty kicks in, but at some point there will be a pump. So I want to educate myself ahead of time.

There is a book called "Pumping Insulin".

In your opinion, thumbs up or thumbs down?

I've heard nothing but super positive reviews. Can't give you one firsthand.

Its been years since I have read the book page by page. But I often refer to it for seeing how off the mark we are for ratios and such.

If you are MDI, I would suggest "Using insulin", it is the same writer.

We've had the book 8 years and I still refer back to it from time to time. Well worth the investment, IMO.

We have it, and I refer to it when making basal changes, but my favorite is Think Like A Pancreas. If I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Think. Having both is nice, though.

Agreed. Both are incredibly useful books. We have both, and go back to each.
