It seems to me the majority of kids are pumpers. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm wondering how many out there pump and how many inject? :D

We have been on injections for 2 1/2 years. First NPH and Humalog and moved to Lantus and Novalog this summer. We are in the process of getting a pump...waiting for it to be approved by insurance.

Alex was on shots for 1 year and now it's been almost 3 years on the pump.

The parents who post on this forum tend to have their child on the pump. I think that most parents of children with diabetes use injections -- and these parents are not posting here.

Injections are a perfectily viable way to manage diabetes.

My son was on injections from 3 until he was 12.

I pump. However, there are times I wouldn't mind going back to MDI.

Doing very well on MDI, no reason to switch to pump imho.

Looking into CGM options to add value.

we MDI too. our boy is now 18months, was diagnosed with 14.

this site made me interested in the pump and we are waiting for the insurance to go through. we manage quite well without it, but we are on a rigid 3 shot schedule with timed meals and would like more flexibility.

We are on MDI and are perfectly fine with that for now. The pump will come in good time. :)

We have never done injections, except to help out during high BGs with ketones, and that was like a couple of times. Otherwise, been pumping since the hospital.
