I was thinking of playing guitar, but my mom is afraid I would get callus on my fingers for playing it. Any tips? Thank you.

you can check BG with your toes and I think the palm of your hand. Also, u would only get calluses on one hand anyway. Just use the other hand

Nah, you're fine. You will get callouses on the tips of your fingers but that won't affect testing on the sides.

My son plays piano, guitar, and a bit of mandolin. Hope you enjoy it!

Nahhhh...your fingers get hard from testing anyway. I play flute and piano though, not guitar.

I think it would be just fine. Have you ever tried testing on you arm? It doesnt hurt in my opinion.

    Thanks

    Thanks everyone for replying! :D

I'm planning to play guitar sometime in '09. I hope I might show some lyrics of songs that I made myself! I will remember getting support from my fellow diabetics and their parents (or diabetic parents). Again, thank you. :)
