I'm still so new at this....saw an advert for President's Coice Blue Line menu. Anyone familiar with it and if it might be a good alternative? The article mentioned Diabetes but I am sure it is geared towards Type 2. We tend to do a lot of cooking and not eat a lot of pre-packaged foods...but this may change as JJ gets older and wants more choice in what he eats. "Over 70 new PC Blue Menu(TM) items were developed with the help of PC Dietitians and Product Developers to make healthier eating simple, enjoyable and accessible for families - all featured in this year's edition in store on February 2nd. From delicious entrees to healthier snack ideas, each product in the PC Blue Menu line-up is designed to meet one or more specific dietary requirements: lower fat, lower calories, high fibre, omega-3, soy protein, lower sodium and whole grain as compared to regular PC products." http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/January2008/29/c5087.html
Blue menu is a good choice. When picking out pre-made items in the grocery store I always check out Blue Menu if it is available. Generally Blue Menu tastes good and I appreciate that they have kept an eye on fat and fibre and sometimes salt. But I do this for the whole family, not just because of D.
