I really never knew there was a cutlery debate? just feeling silly today. I wonder if this is a male/female thing female-over male-under testing the waters up here
I do not care. The other occupants of my house apparently think that the TP fairy installs new rolls while they are not looking, so I voted for option "C".
Well, I'm not very organized cutlery-wise, so I wouldn't know. But, as I mentioned in the other very important TP debate a long time ago, I think you use LESS paper if you put it under. I remember seeing a show with this debate years back, and said something about how it shows you're generous if you put it over and tight with money, if you put it under. So, it's not only just about TP. It embodies our personality and how we view the world.
I don't put it on the roll thingie, I leave it on the counter or the 1 year old will spin it and it goes everywhere! So I didn't vote
Yep, same here... or the wonderful "mom, we're out of toilet paper" when there is more within arm's reach of the toilet.... all because the roll is empty. It's been better thouh since we got these great TP holders from IKEA... less work involved in putting a new one on means it happens more often without mom's help http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/55807410
I knew someone who would step on the roll before putting it on for this reason. . . .personally, I hate public bathrooms with the squared rollers so you have to beg off one tiny one ply square at a time. . . TMI?
Oh now come on people! It has to be under of course. My Mother did it under and her Mother before her. (dang if I know why but I wont break tradition) now as far as others putting it on the holder yeah in my dreams
I love how I'm the only person who voted under who doesn't have "mom" in their name. xD Seriously, everyone knows its under! =P
don't worry I won't hold it against you guys if you'll put the TP under. If I'm ever at your house I may just put it over. rukio-I am impressed that you can change a roll. I think you may be a teenage boy? Your mom has taught you well. my DH can't even change a roll.
I really don't care. However, I really prefer the entire roll completely out of reach of my 20 month old, lest the whole thing end up unraveled in the toilet!
Well all I can say is that a friend of mine went through a lot of TP for a while due to a cat of his that couldn't keep it's paws of it and it really didn't care if it was over or under. As long as it could get a piece of it with a claw it would nab it and take off running as the roll of TP was spinning like a top in its holder.
I never knew people cared. In all honesty, I couldn't care less - my only hope is that people will replace the roll when they have finished it. And that dream isn't usually fulfilled.
My only issue is that my youngest cousin uses 20+ squares in one bathroom trip, and if they spend the night they go about once an hour. So the toilet is constantly clogged. X.x
Well I just went to the bathroom and the TP was under, so maybe that's how I automatically put it. But perhaps it would have felt equally normal if it was over... Oh, the problems of life.
