Omnipod changing insurance plans?

    Anyone done this? I know it depends greatly on which plan we would be going to (we would be leaving Cigna but don't know who we would be moving to), but I would love to hear about any experiences with this. If you feel comfortable including the plan names that would be a great help. Thank you.

    we starting the Omnipod while on Cigna. After about a month battle to get it approved Cigna finally agreed to cover. In January of this year my company switched to Aetna. Turns out we are much better off with the Aetna plan as the durable medical max is $10k per year versus Cigna which was $3k.

    I'm not sure where you live, but here in CA Blue Shield is refusing to pay for my son's omnipod because it is not medically necessary. SERIOUSLY!We are in the process of going to a 3rd party to appeal. I hate insurance companies!!!!
