Hi everyone, I am Robyn, mum to Georgia age 10. :)

She was diagnosed at 2 1/2. Has now been on the accu-check spirit pump for 4 years.

Recently the down button stopped working and they upgraded us to the Combo (Pump only) they would'nt give us the handset to go with it - so we are waiting for the doctor to apply to the PCT for one.

We are with the Swindon GWH. Her most recent HBA1c was 7.5%.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi Robyn and welcome to the forums. Glad you are here. There are many folks from the UK here but most of the traffic is on the parents of children with type 1 group. Please come back often and join in the discussions.

    And by the way, that's a great A1c :)

Hi Robyn:) Welcome to our community.

Like Jeremy's Dad wrote, there's not much traffic in the UK forums, but you can also post on the main parents forum. I hope to "see" you around.:cwds:

When you subscribe you are subscribing to a list. So everyone who is subscribed receives mail sent to the list address. When replying you normally "reply all" so your reply goes to the full list, but you can just reply back to one or more people. It's more private as only people subscribed receive the list emails, but it is generally questions etc just like people would post on a forum. It took me quite a while getting used to it as I had never used mailing lists before. I use windows mail so I set up folders so mail to the list goes straight to my CWD folder and doesn't get mixed up with my other mail. Lots of people have a googlemail address just for the list. Does that make any sense? I am not sure if I made it sound complicated! If you have any questions, just ask.
