Zoom, I have seen how far the zap goes. The dogs shake in fear when the beep comes up which is well before the zap. Petunia, my puppy, went through it one time. She now will go closer to the edge then her sister, but I think they would have to take one heck of a leap to get over the fence considering they are Jack Russells.

p.s. I really recommend getting the training from the fence people it is costly but AWESOME!!!!

Congratulations!! Our puppy is lab/springer mix..he is mostly lab though.
I don't know if your kind of puppy likes to chew, but ours does..The perfect toy is an old tire..We have now an old wheel barrel tire, and before an old bike tire.
Max LOVES them, and this has stopped him from chewing on other things...I
agree on the crate training, and I would also suggest watching the dog whisperer. This show has really helped us to understand and stop most of the puppy behaviors..Good Luck..

Yeah - that's what I think too - they said she will be around 20 pounds when full grown. She is 7 pounds now and the same size as our last shih tzu was full grown!!! Her feet are pretty big too so who knows! So far she is very sweet and seems to like her crate!
