Hi everyone... my daughter, Arianne was diagnosed 2 years ago, March 18th at 10 years old. She's now 12 and is doing pretty well but still has some issues with her sugars. Puberty is wreaking havoc on her levels... driving me crazy!!! LOL!

Looking forward to chatting with all of you!

    Deanne :)

Hi Deanne and welcome:) Glad you could join us and hope that you stay and share your experiences with diabetes. There are many folk here that have kids about your daughters age and dealing with diabetes and puberty so they understand where youre coming from

Hello, and glad you found the CWD forum. My daughter was diagnosed at 15 so we missed the puberty issues, but you will find advice and support from others going through it.

My daughter is 13, dia, 5 months ago,

so is also colieac, has been for two years.

Been really tough going at the start and still is some days.

For girls to get it at this age is hell, esp with puberty etc, prior to their monthly, the sugar levels shoot up and so does their moods!!

    Hang in there!!
