This was slipped into the Social Security Act via the Affordable Care Ace (Obamacare). It gives the DHS the authority to enter your home, dictate treatments and evaluate your child's outcomes. It is not voluntary and it should scare the heck out of all of us that the feds can enter your home and decide if how you treat your child's diabetes is acceptable to them or not.

I see that you still believe everything you read on the internet.

Come on. You're smarter than that.

ETA: Hahahaha! The "Freedom Outpost", which apparently broke this hard-hitting "news" story is in a dither because an HFS manual refers to firearms as a potential safety hazard (firearms? a safety hazard? Crazytalk!). The manual they link to is from 2006. That Barack Obama! He wants to come into your house under the guise of protecting your children and take your guns! He even wrote this manual...oh. Wait. Who was president in 2006 again?

    :p

I read the legislation - it's about linking kids and families in need with social services. Plain and (boring) simple. It's a good thing that the Feds have money for this - now that they are cracking down on medicare and medicaid fraud.

Setting aside the fact that there is absolutely no evidence that this legislation allows "forced government intrusions" into your house, the other thing I really enjoyed about the article is that its main source of outrage is that THIS DOESN'T JUST APPLY TO THOSE LAZY LOW-LIFES ON MEDICAID!!! That's right! It applies to everyone! It's really pretty funny that the underlying tone is that it would be okay if we were just talking about those who spend their lives at the government teat, but it applies to Real Hardworking Americans (cue Star Spangled Banner) too.

This is so absurd that it appears that even Fox News is declining to report it as truth.

    ETA: Hee hee.
