Maddening comment of the day

    I had a nurse tell me in the hospital at dx that if DS had low BG, she would give him insulin. :eek:
    I reiterated her comment to make sure I heard it right. Thank God he wasn't low at the time!

    Also had a family friend with type 2 tell me DS should only test after eating and not to worry, that very soon all the testing he would need would just be an ALC (he meant A1c but didn't even know the name of the test!). That finger pricks will soon be a thing of the past.

    Friend meant well and no harm done, but that nurse could have killed him!

    I know the thread you are talking about. replied to it a few weeks ago.

    There are much more fakes over there. And so many of the people over there are students. I frankly get tired of hearing of everyone asking for advice/help with careplan, etc
