    Just checked DS BG and it's 52 ! He is up and drinking juice and I will check again in 15 mins. but do I NEED to have him eat a snack to keep it up ?

    Yes, Something with protein like peanut butter crackers that will help keep up BG/keep it steady after a low.

    Thanks ! I just got him to eat 4 cheese crackers. (His re-check was 72) Although I doubt he'll remember in the am as he is pretty much still asleep!

    we use chocolate milk for a carb/protein snack after #'s are back in range after a night time low, we find it easier for him to get down when he's half asleep :)

    If this (lows at night) is happening with any frequency, then you should maybe look at switching the Lantus to the morning.. :cwds:
