I completely overhauled my daughter's basals, I:Cs and management plan over the past weeks. She's getting a good bit more basal and we are super blousing breakfast a lot more. I did a Diasend upload today and looked at the numbers and I'm thrilled with what I'm seeing:

    12/21/14 - 1/4/15: CGM average 165
    1/5/15 - 1/19/15: CGM average 141
    1/20/15 - 2/1/15: CGM average 126

So we've gotten our CGM average down 39 points in about 6 weeks!

Also, looking at the Standard Day chart, which shows the same time period day-over-day (so we know what "after breakfast" looks like each day for the past 2 weeks, etc), shows only TWO hours during the day when her average is above range (9am and 10am) and no averages below range (range 80-180). The graph is exciting (in that its not erratic)

I'm still not thrilled with the standard deviation, especially in the post-meal hours (AM and PM) but considering that her diabetes is so erratic and tough to manage, I'll take it.

Just wanted to share how happy I am with the hard work we've put in to get the numbers down!

Only a parent or a CWD or (PWD) will appreciate the beauty of that graph. :). Good luck vibes that it stays this way!
