looking for research article on effective parenting with Type 1 kids

A year or so ago someone on this list posted a link related to how to parent kids with type 1. The article focused on how to deal with the responsibilities of type 1 and when kids do not follow through. It was a very matter of fact approach where the researcher recommended treating the responsibililities in a similar manner to doing homework, etc... If testing wasn't done...then they don't drive the car that night--that kind of thing. Does anyone have the link to this article? I gave a copy to our endo and now I'm trying to find my own copy with no luck.
