Yesterday was an up and down day, he was high in the afternoon and had trace amount of ketones  But with water and extra insulin we got him down to 129 with no ketones.

Today I can tell he is better and his wonderful sense of humor has returned..He was eating his cereal and came up to me telling me that his cereal spells a word...It says Oooooooooooo.. Yep he is eating Cherrios LOL

I was thinking about what the ER doc told me about him being brittle..I dislike that word the more I hear it..I say he is a typical teen with type 1 with ups and downs..Brittle will no longer be used to describe it.

Great that he's doing better, and I agree wholeheartedly about the lameness of the "brittle" term. I always challenge anyone I hear using it.
