Or are Miley Cyrus's shorts maybe getting just a tad too short and her top just a tad too low? I noticed it at Wal Mart and on American Idol. It's not something I would point out normally, but I'm not ready for the little girl my kids used to watch on TV to grow up yet!
I'm sure Miley will be gratified to know she's expanded her fan base. http://www.mileyworld.com/community/home http://www.hannahmontanarocks.com/
Yeah, I've got a daughter, and am appalled at the junior slutwear that is out there for little girls these days. I have no idea why people want to sexualize preschool girls.
Nope, it is Miley Cyrus. I think she is trying too hard to lose her Hannah Montana image and in the process is acting entirely way too old for someone who is not even 17 years old. (I think)
Yeah - it makes me cringe anytime I see girls/preteens/young teens with the heavy makeup, puffed out hair, and clothes that look like they belong in Forever 21! I just don't understand how her mom and dad can not only let her dress like a slut, but appear to condone it! But then again, I have a preteen girl who likes to pretend to be Miley!
I'm with Nick. Disney channel is getting close to soft-core porn these days. (Yes, that is hyperbole.) It's one thing for a 17-year old to dress and act like that (like it or not), but, her audience is not 17-year olds, it's 8-year old girls.
Yes I did. I updated Emma's picture in my avatar, and added a recent pic of Brenden and Emma to my signature. I'm not sure it took though. Believe it or not, we have The Cartoon Network blocked! It's absolutely disgusting!
It isnt you! Last night on American Idol I thought at first she was just wearing an ultra ultra short dress then she sort of lifted it up..and I thought..what is she DOING? lifting her dress to that guy?? and then I saw she had on some shorts..WHICH you couldnt even see under her top..akkk
I agree with the cartoon network, but I think they support JDRF I think Miley is trying really hard to shed that Hannah image. There was an article in Parade last week and she basically said she didn't care what parents thought of her...nice I agree with the clothes too. Ugh! I have to get a new bathing suit for my 13 year old daughter this year and I really am not looking forward to it. My DH and I said we are going to make her a turtle neck one w/pants to match....LOL!
I agree, however I can't say that she started it... I remember about 3 years ago shopping for shorts for my then almost 2 year old daughter.. and I couldn't for the life of me find anything that didn't look like hot pants. I did eventually find some bermuda shorts at Target, but it seriously felt like it was WAY too much effort to find shorts for her.. it's still hard.
I don't know since I don't pay much attention to her these days as Lia is "over" Hannah Montana. Last I recall though I was thinking the same thing.
Yes, they are very short. However, it started before her, she's just running with it. It doesn't help in the paper this past Sunday, the article said she was wearing "ultra short shorts." Unfortunately, this seems to be the fashion of late. Luckily, my girls think her clothes at Walmart are ugly and look like a dog bit them (the ripped and wrinkled stuff)!
Miley may be looking out for her career post Disney and branching out, so to speak. At least one of her recent performances involved a stripper's pole and was not fit for children to watch. Saw Kathy Griffen spoof that performance in a stand up act on TV. Hilarious.
I hate the shirts for girls nowadays they show to much. Lee, are you refering to the store Forever 21? Cause I love some of the clothes in our local store. xD Its sad when 8 year old girls are like "I have a boyfriend!" Or "I have an Iphone touch" or whatever the style is nowadays. I actually nowadays wear my black dress pants or my jeans in the summer, with shirts I wore three years ago, that aren't torn up. Occasionally I have to wear something lower cut, but always with a cami underneath. I agree, miley cyrus is a bad infulence on younger kids. She should really just be forced to wear better clothes by her parents.
Hey Rukio - I was referring to the store Forever 21 - and yes, some of their stuff is super cute. But wow - the dresses and shorts are ALL super short!
