Interesting article on Low income families dealing with Type 1.

    in Nova Scotia, low income is a BIG issue within the province. I would love to see the government absorb the cost of children's medical supplies and treatments in a system like that in the UK, so families wouldn't have to choose, because frankly I believe children shouldn't be without. Canada has a good system but it definitely needs revising.
    While I don't consider myself low income, I'm covered by two different insurance companies and it's still a stretch to get some stuff covered, most of it including strips is paid for up front then a receipt is sent in, yes you do get the money back, but still....
