I Never Anticipated This. . .

    This is for all the odd things that happen involving diabetes that you never anticipated. Like, for example, I never anticipated having to attempt to check my BG with wet nail polish. I was difficult not to smear the nail polish on the test strips. (It was a new bottle of course. :rolleyes: )

    What's your crazy story?

    my mom gave me a shot at a red light a few weeks ago :p
    i'd been high and bolused, but it still wasn't coming down, sooo....
    i wouldn't recommend it, though, that sucker hurt more afterward than my flu shot did this year!

    next time you have to check with wet nail polish, use a finger you know is easy and turn the number up a bit on the clicker...helps with the smudging ;)

    good. it gets easier over time, you'll come up with your own little tricks to pulling things off:cool:

    hhmmmm, not sure i really have that crazy of a story, but one thing i didn't anticipate once was the blood shooting out of my finger when chekn my blood... im glad i moved my face out of the way in time.
