I realize that YDMV and that the amount of insulin a person needs doesnt matter but if you have a daughter in the age range of 14-18 years could you tell me what their total daily insulin is?

    Thanks!

When I was 14 it was around 40 units
Now at 19 I'm at around 90 units

It went progressively up from 40 units in the 5 years.

I've varied in that time, up and down between around 20U/day to 50U/day. However the time at each end of the extreme has been short, and I've predominantly been around 35-40U/day.

ETA: I'm 5"5', 135lbs, run for ~30-40 minutes every other day. Eat fairly healthy but far from low carb, around 200g carbs per day.

DD is 16, 135 pounds, TDD is around 35-40 (25 Lantus, 7-10 Apidra, 3-5 Regular). But she is pretty active (doing track and playing rugby) and in very good shape.. :cwds:

i know this is probably a little too young, but my DD is 10, almost 11 (June 22). She weighs about 75 pounds and is about 4'9. Her TDD has been around 40-60 units recently, with about 60% basal.
