We got new orders for school from the endo when Michelle started pumping in Feb. We don't expect the orders to change at all. I'd like to try to have everything in place (IHP, 504 etc) when school starts back in the fall.

Do the orders expire with the end of the school year or can I still use the same one?

Most schools want a new one for each school year.

That being said, we make so many adjustments, our "dosages" are never the same as the orders.

Thanks Elissa. Our dosing says "follow pump." There is no school year noted or other date noted, other than the date it was signed. I know we'll get new orders at our next appt in July, just wanted to try to head off some of the problems we had this year.

Not quite the same since we are still trying to get Kayla'a 504 going. But for Nick's 504 plan, we do his yearly meeting at the end of the school year and then have a meeting the couple days before school starts and go over them again and make adjustments.

Thanks Kayla. Our school has been...difficult to work with. They insist that we must have an IHP in place before doing a 504, & that the 504 must be amended each time we change the IHP. Since the IHP comes from the Dr's orders, we have to start there.

ETA: Guess I should add that Michelle will be going to middle school in the fall. Different building across town, new nurse, new principal, new 504 coordinator. I'm being told that her current 504 ends with the current school year & will not carry over.
