We just got the paperwork from matts check up. It seems his cholesterol is on the high side, at 254 with HDL only 58 and LDL at 176. LDL parameters is 0-99. Basically, the only note the dr added was that his bones are at 13.6 years, and he is 15, so still has the potential to grow. (family of late bloomers) No mention of the cholesterol. So, my question, concern, is how concerned should *I* be, and of course, what can be done about this? Im obviously looking into diet, but with a 15 year old garbage disposal of junk food, its hard. Lettuce could send him into tremors. I am going to purchase omega 3 krill oil, suppose to be as good or better then fish oil with no fishy side effects, but what else? Im off to search more about diet, he gets way more then enough exercise. Tho, I can change the eating habits of this family, but that boy will crawl on his knees over sharp shards of glass for miles for a McDonalds cheeseburger. :tyrannosaurus:
