Hello folks!!

    I'm still around, and am saying hello today Type 1 for 71 years now, and not having any serious diabetes related complications. There are so many T1Ds living long lives now. There are some who have lived more than 80 years with type 1.

    Thanks for the word - and photo - to provide hope for those of us with little ones. When I get stressed about dealing with T1D, and depressed thinking my little one may deal with this for her lifetime, I am thankful that we are dealing with this now and not years ago. But you have shown me that even in those "ancient" days of dealing with T1D it is totally doable and a long, happy life is almost a guarantee. May God grant you many more of those happy years!
