Only parents of cwd can imagine this one... We've always called Tyler's lancing device a "pricker" - ya know, cause we prick his finger with it right?!?

Here is the conversation a little bit ago:

son - "Mom, I can't find my pricker"
After an unsuccessful search, I went to my stash and got a spare, but it wasn't one like he usually uses...
    after he uses it:
son - "that prick was just as good as any other pricker"
    me - "I guess a prick is a prick is a prick"

    lol

We call it a pricker too. But, generally not in polite company! ;)

Same here. I often wonder what other people in public who over hear our conversations think.

"pull out your poker and check."
    "are you high?"
"are you keeping track of how many carbs you are eating?"

Rectum? Nearly killed em`. There, happy now? ;)

Are you feeling OK? You didn't include a reference to your website in your post this time, so I was just wondering....

Soon after dx we heard our ds say,

"I am going to go jump on the tramp before I get my pricker out"

Tramp here means TRAMPOLINE but yes, that is exactly what he said. He walked outside and for the first time in days we all had a good laugh.
We no longer refer to the lancing device as a pricker but a sticker.

What was really funny was that both he and I were laughing at what we said. After thinking about it I asked him if he knew what other people use the word prick in reference to - he looked at me, grinned and shook his head no!!!:D He is 14 so I kinda had to explain to him so he would realize that our references may not be appropriate in the presence of others - hehe
