Anyone have ideas for free foods ? I know sugar free jello is one...but sometimes my 2 year old daughter is looking for something else after 10g snack. I don't want to have insulin her for another food yet...any suggestions!!!
Here's a nice thread that has some great ideas: http://forums.childrenwithdiabetes.com/showthread.php?t=52368&highlight=free+foods
Pickles, olives, deli meat, jerky, we found veggie sticks at Costco...they are chips for 11 carbs, cheese sticks, no sugar added fruit cups we get peaches (6 carb), Wasa crisp'n light crackerbread 3 for 13 carbs....those are just a few of the free foods we offer here
cool whip! my daughter would eat bowls of it when she was little. You can also freeze & eat like ice cream & virtually no carbs. string cheese is a favorite. carrot sticks w/or w/out dip. olives. lunchmeats. boiled eggs or deviled eggs.
