Why does the endo keep asking me if Makaelas feet hurt?
Hmmm ... good question. I'd ask him why the next time he asks. I can only think of a couple of reasons:
Maybe he is checking for symptoms of neuropathy (which is a little odd seeing as she was just diagnosed a month ago)
Did she get pretty sick before diagnosis? Because when my dad was diagnosed (as a kid with type 1) he was really sick and had horrible cramps in his lower extremities that eventually went away after he started insulin. Perhaps he is following up to make sure that she doesn't have this symptom, which is a sign of DKA.
