Exploring our Globe and where others live

Hey, just thought you could find my birth place...Guinea-Bissau (south of Senegal and Ghana)...have fun.

 

Oh my gosh it sounds so lovely! Nice relaxing place to be. I wanna go! We knew where New Zealand was, but our globe does not list your cities.

We did find Norfolk, England. You are North of London and close to the Prime Meridaian, Chell pointed that out right away.

Maddie's Dad was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her grandparents live there and in London. (If that counts)

 

We currently live in Alabama which my husband considers a foreign country. He is originally from New Jersey though.

 

Oh dear, the largest city close to me would be either Bakersfield or Lancaster, California. Lancaster would be 70 miles from me and Bakersfield would be 149 miles from me.

 

You've gotten around a lot Paula! Africa, England and now Luxembourg!! Anywhere else? I haven't even been out of the North Island of New Zealand.

 

I'm Australian, born in Melbourne- the 2nd largest city in the country. Right now I'm in Perth (Western Australia) 4th largest city.

 

I'm a boring mid-westerner, but I have family from by Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; Viet Nam; and Tunis, Tunisia. Hope these are exotic enough to be a challenge on the map!

 

We are just north of Wellington, capital of New Zealand.
We were living in Brisbane, Australia for a couple of years(Our youngest was born there).
My Dh is from Glasgow, Scotland.
I also have a brother who lives in Milton Keynes, in England.

I could go on but that will give you a few more places to look up.

We live in Dannevirke, Southern Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Just a small town, so it won't be on your globe.

Our nearest city is Palmerston North about 50 minutes away, or we are about 3 hours north of Wellington, our capital.

We live in Tema, Ghana in West Africa. The nearest big city is Accra, the capital. It's right on coast of the Gulf of Guinea.

I have a brother-in-law in the United Kingdom, a niece in Ottowa and a cousin who lives in Hamilton, Bermuda. If you're still game, my best friend is from Quito, Ecuador.

we are living near Dusseldorf in Germany. It's more or less "midwest"

 

My mother is from Dusseldorf! I lived there for a year when I was 4. I haven't been to Germany since I was 12, and I really really want to. I'm proud of my German heritage

We're in Espoo Finland which is right outside the capital of Helsinki.

 

We found Jahannesburg and London.

We found Melbourne, and Perth.

And of course we found all of your places too.

 

Found Wellington, Plamerston is to small for our globe.

We found each an every one of yours.

Found Germany, but Dusseldorf is too small for our globe.

That one was easy, Chell found it right off that bat.

Found you too, but Espoo is too small for the globe also.

 

Chell says thank you to each and everyone one for helping her learning and explore the globe. She thought is was weird that others from around the world is on the CWD site, and are willing to help her explore the globe.

Wow, that's so strange. I didn't know we were running against anybody for anything lol!!

And you're welcome Michelles. Maybe someday you guys can visit the places you've learned about. That's on my to-do before I die list!
