Em had her visit with the endo today. A1C....7.0!!! Dr. was very pleased.

She did make a few changes as we are still having a problem maintaining blood sugars through the night. We have never had a problem with Dawn Phenomenon. Emily always drops through the night.

In fact she changed her Supper I:C from 1:12 to 1:15 as she has been having lows right before bed. She also changes Correction Factor from 25 to 30 and changed the bedtime correction factor from 75 to 100 hoping to ward off the lows.

She was very pleased with Emily's overall control. She is usually stingy with praise but she had nothing but good things to say to EM today. Even the nurses commented on it.

We told her about how we found out on here how to manage pizza and such. So she wants us to have a one on one pump class with a CDE and a nurse. She said she wants to go through Em's insulin regimen and also learn some things from us. Pretty cool! Huh?

Anyway all in all we had a great day! :D

Good work! Congratulations are in order to the family.

Did she discuss ways to tweak things so Emily won't keep dropping through the night? That is an issue that you should be able to eliminate.
