Was your child dx'd on a birthday, holiday, or some otherwise memorable day? Or was it just an ordinary day?

Our dx was on a normal day, but happened to be the same date as another student at her school.

DH and I went away for our wedding anniversary for one night on March the 15th. Riley had had a fever for a few days earlier that week, but the fever had broken a day or two earlier. She just couldn't seem to shake that sickly feeling and looked terrible, losing weight, you know the drill. We left her at our house with my DMIL overnight. We usually go away for several days on our anniversary but with Riley not well we planned to stay home and DH surprised me with a night away about 40 miles away from home. The following morning, (way to early considering how much champagne we had had the night before) DMIL called and said that Riley was crying for us. Very out of character for any 12 year old, let alone Riley. I woke up DH and rushed home after about 4 hours of sleep to my very sick little girl. She was diagnosed 2 days later on the 18th. :(

I voted otherwise memorable. It wasn't Memorial Day, but it was Memorial Day weekend, and I ended up spending an extra day in the hospital waiting for the people who didn't work on weekends.

Well, I have a day that all of my life altering events fall on:

    Decide to join the military
    Have a car accident
    Decide to leave the military
    Get my first concussion
    Start my 'real' career
Decide that my marriage is not going to make it (although I drug that one out for a bit)
    Start my Consulting Business
    Daughter Gets D

    January 5th...

Lia was dx on a Friday the 13th. Ugh. Never was the least bit suspicious about that day but now it does make me a little sad and leery.

Just a regular day here, although it was 2 days before our 20th wedding anniversary. It was 6pm on our anniversary, we were still in the hospital, when I remembered what the day was.

We took Aidan to the hospital on late Christmas Eve, by the time they confirmed his diagnoses it was after midnight. Christmas day is actually my birthday so....I guess I could vote my birthday and other memorable day. :cwds:This is also only 4 days before Aidan's birthday....so it was close to his as well as mine!

I remember I had saved up all my Halloween candy because I was in a sort of competition with my sister to see which one of us candy could last the longest. So on Halloween night I did not eat a piece. The next day, I was diagnosed with "d"

We dx'ed Connor ourselves at home the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We caught it very early and he did not get his 'official' dx from the endo until Dec. 17.
What a fun Thanksgiving and Christmas for us in 2007.

I was diagnosed with D on Dec. 14, about a week before christmas. Other than that, it was a regular day.
