Donated D supplies

    I would be remiss if I didn't say something about the D supplies that so many of you have sent to my mom for the Ghanaian children with T1. In a word...

    WOW!!!!


    I kid you not when I say I have no idea how I will tote it all home. Boxes -- I'm talking huge boxes -- filled with lancets, syringes, log books, glucose meters and strips, even insulin. It boggles my mind. This is only about 75% of the stuff -- there are still boxes in the closet!

    Add to that the boxes upon boxes of insets and cartridges and skin-tac and prep wipes and on and on sent for Alexandra.

    I want to say, on behalf of my daughter and all of the children here who will benefit from the CWD community's generosity, a humongous thank you. There is no doubt that everything will be put to good use.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again... I don't know where we would be without the most amazing community on the internet -- the CWD parents. God bless you all. :cwds:

    Question for you.. do you need EMLA? or will it get used in Ghana?
