I was watching ESPN about a half an hour ago and Mike Ditka said Jay Cutler, the Bears' QB, needed to show more enthusiasm off the field, and perhaps this lack was caused by his diabetes (Cutler was diagnosed with Type 1 a few years back) - Just WOW.

Maybe he just meant that while off the field he has to test and bolus, he's kinda busy for playing cheerleader?
    Hopefully?

Welcome to the Forum, interesting first post.

I think taking the comment out of context it is difficult to understand what he meant. That said, Mike has not been known for his subtlety, tact, or general intelligence. He was a heck of a coach though. :cwds:

Ya, he's about as subtle as a brick wall, maybe too many hits to the head?
Hasn't it been said before though that Jay Cutler isn't exactly the most warm and fuzziest person out there? He could just be one of those people who doesn't like the attention that being a sport celebrity brings him. Either way, wasn't the most tactful thing to say on national TV.
