Dinner question...

    any help with split peas carbs??? Made Fresh split pea soup tonite...no idea:cwds:

    Split Pea Soup with Ham

    Ingredients
    1 lb bone in ham
    1 medium onion
    2 cups , strips or slices carrots
    1 lb split peas
    1 tbsp garlic powder
    10 cups water
    2 cubes chicken broth

    serves 10 25 carbs per serving

    I make homemade split pea soup and I carb it out at 28 carbs per cup. This works for both Kelton and I.

    Have you tried Nutritiondata.com? It was a lifesaver for us. You just enter your recipe in, put amount of servings (we guestimate but it's still pretty close) and then analyze recipe and it tells you how many carbs.

    I don't know for sure if this is what you're looking for, but as I said, it has really helped us.
