Interesting. According to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, post-partum depression is more frequent among mothers who already had diabetes and those who developed it during pregnancy.

This didn't surprise me. We all know the diabetes/depression risks. Women who have medically intense pregnancies are at higher risk for post-partum depression. I always felt that the post-partum period was more challenging than the pregnancy as far as my diabetes control was concerned. I'm glad they looked at this!
