Do any other parents volunteer time at overnight diabetes camps over the summer?

We attend a family camp every summer. I've thought about volunteering for the kids-only camp. Maybe when Emily is a tad bit older. She's not very keen on attending a kids-only camp yet.

My daughter went for the 1 week camp for the first time this past summer at age 8. I don't think she would have been ready at age 7 or younger either. It was nice being there as a med staff person at the same time but I hardly saw her and she hardly missed me. She had a great time. If you do get a chance to volunteer your time at a camp you should try it. Very exhausting and very rewarding. I think it may help me to stay 'young', too.
