    Hi there my daughter is MODY and she is going in tomorrow to wear the loaner cgm that childrens has...she has to wear it for 5 days to see when insulin in required for her....she is scared to death for them to insert it....has anyone's little ones worn one of these..and are there any tips...

    They generally insert the site in the upper hip, so I doubt your daughter will even be aware of what is happening. It is over very quickly.

    thanks Amy..I was wondering where they would insert it as she has NO fat on her entire body

    You can ask your doctor for an RX of EMLA numbing cream to put on 1 hour before or you can also go to Sally Beauty Supply and ask for numbing spray for waxing. The spray on is the best. Many of my friends with little ones now use it before shots!

    Well it was less of a SNAFU then that unfortunate caulk incident.

    It was not just the spelling of the word caulk that made it funny. It was the spelling along with the posters recounting of the bizarre use of the caulk.
