I just ordered this book. I used to follow Will's blog when he was one of the first bloggers who wrote consistently about his CGM experience http://lifeafterdx.blogspot.com/ . I recall him writing that if he had to choose between the pump and the CGM, he would choose the CGM. Looking forward to reading this - he's a very credible source.

Please post once you had a chance to read the book. I always said that it is an art to use the CGMS correctly. The nurse does not get the proper way to use the CGMS and tells me all the time it is not correct. I finally told her that it is an art to use the CGMS correctly and once you have it you will be able to use it more accurately without taking as many finger sticks. I have told the nurse, however that while my daughter is in her care she is to take care of her the way she feels more comfortable. That means my daughter has to do a lot more finger sticks while at school, but I am fine with that.

Ellen I hope you'll post a review of the book once you've finished reading it.

I agree with Ellen...this is a must read. Lee covers everything, from the background/history of CGMS to explaining how it works to the different way of looking at BGs that's required to use CGMS successfully....in a down-to-earth way that's easy to understand.

If you're offended easily, be forewarned that the book does contain profanity. For those of us who follow his blog & other online writing, it's just part of his uniqueness. :p
