So baseball season is here ! Our first with D. Games start at 5:45 and aren't over until 8:00 By the time we get home it's 8:15 and my kids go to bed at 8:00 normaly. DS is always sweaty but if I get him in the shower when we get home and then wait a half hour before we give Lantus we are pushing bedtime to almost 9:00!!!! Any advice? How important is this half hour rule? He has games 3 nights a week and I know if he's going to bed at 9:00 that much he's gonna be cranky !
We never waited AFTER a bath for Lantus - I think the issue is taking the shower AFTER the Lantus because it increases absorption. Can you move the Lantus to a different time of day?
I might be wrong, but I don't think you need to wait to give Lantus after a shower, I think it's just before. Cameron always showers before we give his Lantus shot. We also don't give it until 9 pm and he doesn't need to be awake to receive it - actually, he's gotten very used to getting it in his sleep!
