Does your son have celiac? I know that my friend with celiac is okay touching gluten... she just can't injest it... not sure if it would be the same for everyone, but I know quite a few pwd and celiac who are on pumps...

    My son is a celiac.

Novolog (and, I believe) all insulins are GF
We use Unisolve and IVprep without issue.

Leah has been using the pod all these years and her celiac antibodies remain low. I don't think you need to worry about it.

Gluten that is ingested is the problem, not what goes on the skin.

You're not necessarily a nervous nelly! Some of us with celiac do have reactions to topical gluten.

If so, it is extremely unusual. To the OP, this would really be on the lowest rung of my worries right now. Focus on the diet, then move to health and beauty products that might be ingested like shampoo etc.

I checked this out when my daughter was diagnosed..all adhesives regarding pump and the tapes typically used do not contain gluten.
