Somehow I ran across a recipe for home made marshmallows. I thought it might be something fun to do with the kids. Anyone tried it? Most recipes use unflavored gelatin, some call for jello, but it haven't been able to find one that calls for sugar free jello, which is mostly what I have....don't know if the extra sweetener in the jello will mess with the sugar amounts in the recipe (can a marshmallow be too sweet?). And sugar free recipes are usually sweetened with something that's not sugar, sometimes it's artificial, sometimes a natural sweetener like maple syrup or agave. So some aren't carb free anyway. I'm. Not necessarily looking for carb free....just a fun project for the kids. . But carb free would be an added bonus. Is it possible to make carb free marshmallows? Thanks.
