With so many supplies and backup supplies to tote around and to keep up with, it would be great if we could get a glucose meter that was an all in one- One that held 25 test strips that would transition into place like the Accu-Chek multi-clix lancets do and that had a lancet on the opposite end of the same unit that was not invasive like the Accu-Chek Multi-clix- and last but not least the all in one would communicate with the pump like the Ultra One Touch does.. I like the mini-ultra's but with a teen in a hurry there is so much room for error when he has to enter the # into the pump-

Or even better why wouldn't a BS meter work like the alcohol breathalyzer? But instead of detecting alcohol levels, the meter would detect sugar levels when the diabetic would blow into one end of the meter and poof it would process a BS # that would communicate with the pump..

Given our positive experience with our diabetic service dog its obvious that my DS's breath is a big part of her being able to alert him within a specific range.
